AD Podcasts of the Week: Comedy

The best in podcasting (as recommended by the Auditory Discourse team)!

Podcasts are a great way to access entertainment or education on the go- simply utilise Apple’s Podcasts app or Pocketcasts if you’re an Android user. As well as the editing side of things, we’re podcast fans at heart, so we’d like to recommend a few of our favourites to get you started or continue your journey.

Comedy is our focus this week- let us know your suggestions in the comments below!

The Little Dum Dum Club

Starring Melbourne comedians Tommy Dassalo and Karl Chandler, this weekly podcast features comedy big guns and up-and-comers alike- all of them hilarious. The show veers between informative and chaotic, which is part of its charm.
Listen if: You’re interested in the world of stand-up comedy and want a peek behind the curtain.

I Love Green Guide Letters with Steele Saunders

Readers of Victorian newspaper The Age will be familiar with the ‘Green Guide’, their weekly TV and Radio liftout, as well as the magnificent complaint letters it publishes. Join host Steele Saunders as he and special guest comedians dissect these letters and joy ensues.
Listen if: You’re a TV buff OR you just love to hear ridiculous grievances and poke fun at the people who make them.

The Dollop
Each week, comic Dave Anthony reads a wild, often disturbing story from American history to his unsuspecting co-host, Gareth Reynolds. Two of comedy's quickest minds make this a hilarious listen.
Listen if: You like to take in your historical information with a dose of insanity.
